Sanitation Features
At EnSight Solutions, we design our belt conveyors with sanitation and easy maintenance in mind. That’s why we implement a simple design that is easy to keep clean no matter what you’re transporting. There are several key sanitation features available for belt conveyors.
First, each of our belts is made of 304 stainless steel, an industry-grade steel product that is equal parts rugged and low-maintenance. 304 stainless steel allows us to produce belts that can withstand even the toughest manufacturing conditions without forming pits or dents that can be breeding grounds for bacteria. Our belts also have a sanitary open-bed design, allowing direct product contact with no room for bacteria growth. Finally, our belts offer clean-out holes and drip pans to ensure that no product waste or debris gets left behind. If you’d like to implement additional sanitation features, our customizable add-ons include belt washers, belt scrapers, and more.
Belt Design
When designing our belts, we recognize that manufacturers have wildly different needs. That’s why, instead of designing equipment with a one-size-fits-all approach, we offer three different types of belts, all of them fully customizable. That way, you can select the belt design that meets your needs:
- Modular belting features pieces of plastic arranged like puzzle pieces in a brick-lay pattern. This is ideal for manufacturers looking to customize the size of their belt.
- Thermoplastic belting, which is durable and abrasion-resistant, is a great sanitary option that aids in maintaining yield percentages.
- Cleated belting, otherwise known as bucket-style belting or flighted belting, is a good option for incline conveyors. That’s because it features grooves that prevent product from sliding off if the conveyor belt is lifted.
Customizable Add-Ons
No manufacturing facility is exactly the same, which is why there are so many customizable features available for belt conveyors. Customizing your belt conveyor gets us one step closer to your ideal machine. While a belt conveyor may seem fairly straightforward, there are several add-on features that can make or break the efficiency of your facility:
- Incline and decline angles, depending on your needs and products
- Modular, thermoplastic, and cleated belting
- Belt lifting arms to aid in sanitation
- Belt washers and scrapers for added sanitation
- Optional drip pans for easy cleaning
- Add-on reject device to prevent product contamination
- Integrated ergonomic stands for employee comfort
- Variable frequency drive to help your floor managers control product movement
- Various operating voltages for your facility’s needs
- Portability for multi-purpose belt conveyors
